One set of twins is adopted by a couple from Ooty who operate a circus called Jubilee Circus. The other set of twins gets adopted by the Shenoys from Bangalore. Curiously, both families name their adopted children Roy and Joy, after the names of the people who operated the orphanage. The film then progresses 30 years forward in time. Roy # 1, played by Ranveer Singh, and Joy # 1, played by Varun Sharma, take over the Jubilee Circus after the death of their adoptive parents. What follows is a wild ride as Roy # 2 and Joy # 2 encounter a group of robbers and a variety of Ooty residents who claim to know them very well, even though this is their first time in Ooty.
