Amrita Puri is an Indian actress who is known for acting in films, television serials, and web series. Amrita was born on 20th August 1983 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Aditya and Anita Puri. Her father was the MD of HDFC bank. She completed her schooling at Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. She completed her B.A. in English Literature and M.A. in Mass Communication from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai. After completing her studies, Amrita started her career with writing and doing theatre. After that, she did copywriting for the advertising agency Ogilvy along with freelancing for a lifestyle magazine for one year. She did her first ad for Kotex and later featured in ads and TV commercials for several brands, including People First, Garnier and L'Oreal. Amrita made her film debut with Aisha in 2010. She also acted in several other films, such as Blood Money, Kai Po Che!, Judgementall Hai Kya, etc. Amrita made her television debut with the series Stories by Rabindranath Tagore in 2015.
